A brand's identity is the combination of a wide variety of visually relayed forms of media messaging, all coming together to create an instantly recognizable "Image" for a particular brand.

So, all that being said. What is Identity design?

Identity design is the process of creating a formative, fluid, and most importantly a unified "Identity" for your brand across all physical and digital platforms.

Now, let's talk about the "Why."

Identity design is important to your brand for a number of reasons. It gives your brand a feeling of consistency, that feeling of constancy will promote a sense of familiarity, with this new sense of familiarity your audience will be able to more naturally distinguish your brand from competitors, and once your brand is distinct and rcognizable from the competition, your brand will then have found an identity all its own.
